“It’s only three days until the beheading, and I’ve got no idea what I’m going to wear.”

That’s one of the lines from a controversial new BBC comedy sketch, “The Real Housewives of ISIS.”

But not everyone is seeing the funny side and the skit has been widely slammed on social media.

The controversial parody of Bravo’s  “Real Housewives” franchise comes from the first episode of the British broadcaster’s newest comedy series, “Revolting.”

One of the BBC2 show’s writers, Heydon Prowse, defended the sketch, telling UK newspaper ‘i’ that,  “It’s important not to pull your punches in satire.”

He added that the important message behind the joke was that young women can be manipulated by ISIS. For example, one housewife says in the sketch that her man had her at the words “free healthcare.”
