Entity reports on Kim Kardashian's new book club.

Kim Kardashian has started a book club.

Yes, for real.

And we can all join.

ENTITY applauds her because anything that encourages people to read books is a great thing. Maybe Kim could even lead the nation back to reading…

Fewer Americans are reading books,  according to recent studies. Findings from Pew Research Center reveal that 72 percent of adults have read a book in the past year, down from  79 percent five years earlier.

Kim and pal Chrissy Teigen, together with their hairstylist Jen Atkin, have formed the club with the idea that they recommend books to fans who can read along with them at home then share opinions and insights online.

Announcing the club and its first selection, Kim tweeted “I’m making them read ‘Embraced by the Light’ as our first book! A story of a woman who died during surgery & came back 2 life. She shares her journey of what heaven is like.”

The book’s author, Betty J. Eadie, is thrilled with the endorsement, writing on social media, “My heart is filled with gratitude and appreciation. God bless Kim Kardashian West for sharing His message of unconditional love as found in ‘Embraced By The Light’ with her many fans.”

There is certainly more reading in that 1992 book than in “Selfish,” the book Kim authored in 2015. That one was a collection of selfies of the reality star including travel pictures, family photos, and swimsuit snaps.

Meanwhile Crissy Teigen’s recent book, “Cravings” is a collection of the model and TV host’s favorite recipes.

The book club’s famous founders will hope they have found a recipe for success with this new venture.
