Entity shares some bad celebrity baby names.

For many modern celebrities, baby naming is a game. Ten points to the person who can use the most unnecessary letters! Another ten points to the person who chooses a name at random! From the unusual Journey River to the bizarre Buddy Boo, these names have stirred the Internet into a frenzy.

So why is the bad baby name trend so popular?

Psychologist Anjula Mutanda said that, essentially, these weird and wacky names are meant to mirror the narcissism and self-love of the parents. Of the celebrity name phenomenon she stated, “Celebrities love to give their special new bundle of joy an out of this world and sometimes off the wall name. Psychologically I think, celebrities often see their children as extensions of themselves, and their child’s name has to mirror this – unique, special and able to handle being larger than life.”

In other words, the more ridiculous the name, the more attention the parents receive. Ahem, we’re looking at you, Rob Morrow. (Morrow named his daughter “Tu Morrow.”)

Let’s give it up to the celebs for picking some of the most, well, unique names for their children.

1 Holly Madison – “Rainbow Aurora” and “Forest Leonardo Antonio”

The former playmate chose a rather unusual name for her daughter. The mother-of-two believes the name “Rainbow Aurora” could teach her daughter to stand up for herself at an early age.

The NY Daily News quoted the blonde, who said on her blog, “There are a lot of smug haters out there who bag on my choice of a name, but I don’t care about what they think, I want my daughter to be proud of who she is and learn to speak up and stand up for herself at a young age. I spent most of my life being a people-pleaser who worried about what other people thought or thought was cool and I don’t want that for her.”

2 Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin – “Apple” and “Moses”

According to People the couple decided to name their daughter Apple because of Chris Martin’s North American booking Agent, Marty Diamond, who apparently has a daughter named Apple. They asked permission first of course.

But while fans say the name “Apple” evokes images of springtime and wholesomeness, others say her name sounds more like a beverage.

3 Kim Kardashian-West and Kanye West – “North West” and “Saint”

I ❤️ my family

North is definitely a unique name for the first child of the two. According to the Huffington Post, an insider told them the name was intended to be more “inspirational” than “directional.” In fact, the name was chosen because it was the highest point in the couples life.

After naming their second child “Saint,” Kim and Kanye faced similar reactions on Twitter.

4 Beyonce and Jay Z – “Blue Ivy”

You know what, the queen can name her child whatever she wants. While the reason the name “Blue Ivy” was chosen has not been clarified, there is much speculation around the choice.

Many think “Blue” was chosen because it is allegedly Jay Z’s favorite color and “Ivy” was chosen because Beyoncé’s favorite number is four, which in roman numerals is “IV.” Or maybe, as The Daily Mail reported, the passage she posted on her official Tumblr page from Rebecca Solnit’s 2005 novel, “A Field Guide to Getting Lost” was the inspiration for Blue’s name.

5 Jamie Oliver and Jools Oliver – “Buddy Bear,” “Daisy Boo,” “Petal Blossom Rainbow” & “Poppy Honey”

Yes, you read those right. The chef and restaurateur takes the cake for most unusual children names. However, he told People, his wife is the one responsible for naming the kids.

6 Chief Keef – “Sno FilmOn Dot Com”

“Sno FilmOn Dot Com” Cozart (also known as Sno Cozart) was named after the rapper’s record label “FilmOn.com.” SheKnows reported the rapper allegedly chose to name his child to promote the release of SOSA’s album, “Bang 3.”

7 Shannyn Sossamon – “Audio Science”

Actress and musician Shannyn Sossamon chose a bizarre name for her child with children’s book author Dallas Clayton. She took a slightly more conventional route with the birth of her second son, whom she named Mortimer.

8 Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green – “Journey River”

Actress Megan Fox christianed the latest addition to her family Journey River, perhaps hoping to evoke calming images of rainforests when little Journey goes through his Terrible Twos.

9 Jermaine Jackson – Jermajesty

Lmao I don’t know why I was looking at him like that

God save … Jermajesty, the son of Jermaine Jackson and nephew of Michael Jackson. Jermaine explained his reasoning for the same, saying (via TIME),”Well, I like the letter J. Both my first name and my last name start with it. So that’s nice. Also, my three previous kids — Jeremy, Jourdynn and Jaafar — obviously have done well by it. But I want something different, a name the majesty of which will both make my other kids feel inferior and guarantee that no one will be able to say it without laughing. The letter J. Majesty. Majestic … Oh, oh, I got it.”
