This video will have your heart melting after a heroic man jumped into a frozen pond in Edmonton, Alberta to save his drowning pup, Cosmo.

A television news crew caught Duncan McIver on camera running into the ice cold water without any hesitation. Thankfully, both survived the chilly chaos.

McIver responded to the event stating, ”It’s a split second thing, you’re not going to just let him die, right? As soon as the ice broke, I went right in. I don’t know, I think most people would do the same thing for their dogs,” he told a reporter.

Hats off to McIver’s spot-on instincts that saved the struggling canine!
