ENTITY shares what mentees are looking forward to in their time with ENTITY Academy

My first steps into adulthood started with a leap of faith and an internship. Immediately following my graduation from college, I packed my bags and moved from Chicago to the sunny entertainment capital Los Angeles. While I have no certainty of what to expect here, I do know that I have a great deal to look forward to thanks to ENTITY Academy.  Here are three things I am most eager to gain from my experience becoming one of the remarkable ENTITY Women.

1 Meeting Creative and Empowering Feminists

The culture here at ENTITY is built to inspire and unite amazing and unique individuals with the best interests of women at heart. When moving to a new city (especially one as large as LA ) it can become difficult to find people with the same values and interests. Here at ENTITY Academy, we are all united by #WomenThatDo. I cannot wait to foster relationships with the inspiring mentees around me.

2 Growing a Confident Voice

Women are so critical of themselves! We over-qualify or automatically defend our voice and opinions because of societal norms. However, as our Queen B said, “Who run the world?! Girls! Girls!” So there should be no fear or hesitation in owning our voice and power. With the help of the assured women mentors at ENTITY,  I hope to grow stronger in my own voice, as well as inspire others to do the same.

3 Experiencing New Things

How do you know what truly makes you happy or feel alive if you never give it a try? Truth is, you don’t know until you “take a chance, make a change and breakaway!” (lyrics of wisdom from Kelly Clarkson). I’m not saying you are only living if you uproot your life to a whole new state or anything, but, simply encouraging young women like me to take a chance at trying something new and a bit out of their comfort zone.  New adventures might lead to a fuller and happier life. I’m excited about my new journey and I’m excited ENTITY Mag chose me.
